All My Exes Live In Texas

Day 166 / Mile 19,740

Good thing I left Oklahoma when I did, for the storm got real nasty right where I was at. Apparently just a few hours after I left some roads fully flooded out, and a tornado touched down a few miles from the parking lot I camped out in. Dodged that bullet!

I expected a slogan like, "Everything's bigger here" or "Don't mess with us"!

Driving through Dallas reminded me of Los Angeles, except more pickup trucks are on the road here.

On the outskirts of the city was another Futuro house. Even though this is abandoned, it's in better shape than the one I found in Pennsylvania .

I shot this self-portrait with a polarized filter to reduce the glare, so you could view the first shelf 30' down. It's spooky in there.

Everybody was telling me I had to visit Marfa saying how cool it was. Maybe on a holiday, but this place was really lackluster when I came through. The only interesting thing was this "motel" that is a bunch of rad old trailers and teepees to camp in.
